CROWN SHIFTED CBAA queen dethrones CNSM’s three-year reign to snatch Miss MSU Academic Ambassadress 2025 crown

Breaking the three-year winning streak of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM), the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) emerged victorious as its candidate, Nikkie Noro, was crowned Miss MSU Academic Ambassadress 2025 during MSU-GenSan’s 52nd Anniversary celebration on October 11 at the University Gymnasium.

For the past three years, CNSM has held the Miss MSU Academic Ambassadress title through Kylah Galia (2022), Ishie Inocelda (2023), and Klyndy Pama Baylon (2024), crowned during the 2024 Intramurals.

This year, CNSM’s representative Dynelle Cabinta continued the college’s strong showing, finishing in the Top 5.

Noro expressed her gratitude after achieving the long-sought victory for CBAA.

“I feel so blessed. As in, super, super blessed because I’ve been dreaming about it for already three years and finally, here I am representing the CBAA community and now an academic ambassadress, Ms. MSU Academic Ambassadress 2025,” Noro expressed.

Alongside her victory, Mika Hamajo from the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) was hailed as Miss MSU 2025.

Power of saving

Rooted in her background as an Economics student, Noro’s advocacy PowerSAVEs (Sharing Accountable and Valuable Education on Savings) promotes financial literacy among students through practical, campus-based initiatives.

“With the help of the CBAA staff officers, I came up with a good advocacy which is financial literacy called PowerSAVEs. We will do this platform, and it aims to provide the students, specifically ten participants in each college, with their own personal savings accounts by partnering with local banks and institutions,” she explained.

Noro said that the initiative aims to encourage students to be financially aware and to take the first step toward building sustainable financial habits through saving and education.
